*Please read carefully - policies related REFUNDS and Music Together® ONLINE are evolving due to the Austin's current effective shelter-in-place order. We have had to update and expand policies to continue to offer the highest level of service and operational transparency!  Please read carefully! 

 

REFUNDS: As of the shelter in place order that went into effect on 3/24/2020 - no refunds are able to be granted. We have been ordered to stop holding classes in person and will hold credits for anyone who is unable or unwilling to continue with us online. If you wish to cancel your enrollment, you have 2 options - you can receive a credit on your account (no expiry) or transfer your enrollment to another family as a gift or donate your credit to our scholarship fund that supports needy families and our teachers during the crisis. Again - credits will not expire and they ARE transferable. If you decide you'd like to gift your enrollment to someone who needs it or you wish to donate it - please contact us - we're happy to do that. Thanks for your understanding while all companies are ordered to shut down in-person meetings in the interest of public health. Classes have continued online, we encourage you to try this before asking for a refund. 

 

MUSIC TOGETHER ONLINE: Music Together Maracas Collection will be offered online until we are able to get back into studio classes in person. Maracas collection semester will be offered as a 20 week hybrid course of online and in person (as allowed).  Stay tuned for information on Fall semester. By enrolling in Maracas collection you agree that in joining Facebook, Instagram and Zoom meeting events are at your own risk and you agree to responsible for monitoring the engagement for your child and controlling the privacy settings in all applications. Parents should never leave children unattended with devices during our music class. Parents are required to attend, sing along, play along just like in person. 

By opting into online classes on Facebook, Instagram and Zoom - you understand these classes will be recorded for promotional and training purposes and so that enrolled families who miss the class can review them later at their leisure and so that parents can stop, pause, replay and go back as needed. 

 

By enrolling in Maracas class online you agree to hold tuneBugz! LLC and Music Together Worldwide harmless and agree to monitor and protect your child in a way that is appropriate in any online engagement. 

 

CLASS CANCELLATIONS Due to the economics of holding a class, if a class does not have at least 6 families, unfortunately in most cases we'll have to cancel it and assign families to their 2nd choice class.  We will make every effort to find a class that works for each family, but if we cannot, we will offer a full refund.  We will make every effort to make class assignment decisions at least one week prior to the start of the class but occasionally confirmations are done the weekend before classes begin so we can do our best to get you into your preferred class.

For unexpected class cancellations (teacher illness etc) either a sub will be provided to teach your class that day, an extra make-up class will be offered to you or a make-up class will be added to the end of the semester on your regular day/time. Our main priority is to make sure families get to enjoy all their classes they paid for. 

CLASS HOLIDAYS: We do close for some major federal and religious holidays. To plan your class time (and your own vacations and family time) click your class time on the schedule  page to see exactly what days your class will be meeting and what holidays are observed on your class day. Decisions to be open or closed hinge a lot on attendance. If we think everyone will be busy and nobody will show up - we usually plan to be closed. 

For observed holidays where we do hold classes, we welcome school aged children to come to class with you!  School holidays are a great time to have younger children show off their music class to their older siblings and we love the opportunity to include your whole family. 

DEMO POLICY: We offer a free week of demo classes preceding each semester. Because we like to be generous, fair and flexible on all of our other policies - we do not offer free samples after classes begin except under special circumstances. 

REFUND & TRIAL ENROLLMENT POLICY:  We realize that not everyone can make it to our free demos during demo week so we offer a low risk trial enrollment period.  Once you enroll & pay online - you will come to class on the first day and if the class is not a good fit for your family for whatever reason just contact us to cancel/drop within 24 hours and you will be able to request to drop the class and only incur the $15 non-refundable new family fee. All but $15 will be refunded to you if you drop within 24 hours of your first class. 

*Important Note about Materials* If you come to 1st class and accept your materials (songbook and cd) and take them home - please be aware that you will not be able to return these materials once they leave the classroom and you will incur a $50 fee even if you decide to drop the class.  It's important to NOT take the materials home on the first day if you are unsure. 

If you don't contact us to drop or cancel within 24 hours of your 1st class - we assume you are delighted and will continue. 

If you have passed the 24 hour mark but are within 14 days of the start of the semester and you need to drop/request a refund due to other unforeseen circumstances - you may be eligible for up to 50% refund depending on the circumstances - please contact Amber - Center Director asap.  No refunds are available after day 14 of the semester.

NON-REFUNDABLE FEES POLICY: Paypal fees and new family reg fees of $15 are non-refundable. Example: If you register for a class and pay $280 and request drop/refund and are granted a full refund, your refund will be: $256.60 ($280 minus 3% paypal fees = $271.60 minus the $15 new family fee = $256.60.) 

PAYMENT PLANS & LATE PAYMENT POLICY:  All payments are due before the first day of class unless otherwise arranged. Payment plans may be requested. Payments still due after 30 days from the first day of class will begin to accrue late fees of $10 per week until payment is made in full. 

HEALTH POLICY: We care about your family's health & the health of our teachers. This is why we have daily, weekly and quarterly routines for cleaning, inspecting and sanitizing our classroom instruments, props and flooring. We expect that babies and toddlers will mouth instruments (please let them - this is developmentally rich for them and appropriate!) but be mindful that they might also suck on hands/fingers and then grab instruments too... please put wet items your child has touched or tasted in the slobber bucket provided in each studio classroom. Please also wash your hands and your child's hands for 20 full seconds before and after class and/or please use our provided hand sanitizer anytime hand washing is not possible. Please change diapers in the restrooms or on a changing pad in the corner of the studio away from others & always take soiled diapers with you, and use sanitizing wipes to surfaces where diapers are changed and of course wash your hands thoroughly again (sanitizer alone isn't effective for after diaper changing). If you or your child is not well - please stay home. Parents and children who have had a fever or other signs of a contagious illness or contact with anyone who has active illness within the past 24 hours, is encouraged to skip class. If you are unsure - play it safe and stay home and/or see a doc & schedule a make up class here

MAKEUP POLICY:  We make every effort to provide each family with 2 make-up classes each semester. Make-ups need to be scheduled with us using the make-up scheduler.   Please refrain from dropping in on a class, we are not able to accommodate drop-ins. Make-ups can not be carried over, refunded or used as discounts on the next semester. Please note that we offer make-ups as a courtesy and spots are on a first come, first served basis by using the online make-up scheduler. 

CAMERAS/PHONES: We respect every family's right to privacy and ask that cameras and phones be turned off during class. It is imperative that parents and caregivers stay engaged in the activities in class. We know everyone loves to snap a pic here and there - and we love the social media posts - but please only photograph your own child and do so either before or after class only. Phones have become an increasing distraction/disruption to bonding efforts in our parent/child classes as technology becomes more amazing and easy but please - while in class - be present and free from distractions.

FOOD/SNACKS/DRINKS: All food and beverages are prohibited in all of our studios. Water bottles, baby bottles and nursing only please.

BEHAVIORS: At tuneBugz! we all agree to keep everyone safe. Unsafe behaviors might include running, chasing/tag, climbing, pulling, throwing instruments, hitting etc. Our teachers address unsafe behaviors both with the child and their parent or caregiver. Occasionally teachers may also ask the whole class to help each other by offering gentle reminders and modelling.  Teachers will be active in class through gentle modelling and reminders when unsafe behaviors occur. These behaviors while age appropriate will need to be addressed so that everyone in class feels safe and so that accidents remain an uncommon occurrence. Remember we all can agree all of the behaviors will be experimented with and this is appropriate - parents not addressing unsafe behaviors is not appropriate in a group class setting.
